So we have two new classes starting next week. I'm looking forward to meeting some new faces and getting to no you all. We have Pilates with a ball, starting Mon at 6.30 - 7.30pm. The routine is fun and I'm looking forward to some giggles whilst we grow in strength and improve our body alignment. There is also the Gentle Pilates class starting on Wed 7.40-8.40pm, this is for individuals getting back into activity and want to regain core strength and gain mobility.
So this is a circuit with a difference! All exercises are Pilates moves, each station has modifications and examples of how to power it up or alternatively powering it down so aimed at all abilities. There is some Pilates equipment used including the large and small Pilates balls, exercise band and small weights all easy to use and proven to get results fast. To add the cardio to this session between each station there is the option to run or walk to really increase the heart rate. Come along and see the perfect mix of core strengthening and cardio.
Jay Morris I love martial arts, and have trained in Kickboxing for 10 years gaining my black belt and competing in numerous competitions gaining National Campion in 2000. I then went on to train in Taekwondo, karate and mixed martial arts for many more years. I enjoy the buzz from training in martial arts, the endorphin rush from cardio and strength training; I was at my fittest when training regularly. I want to share this buzz with others, and give the rewards from this form of training without the stress of contact. This is strictly a NON-CONTACT class and will work on different types of skipping, focus pad work, standing line work, strength work and flexibly.
